Stacked parking garage, 1:64 scale

3 mm MDF · no glue · 64 cars · 4 open levels · production version · 544 × 194 × 288 mm

Assembly checked · ready to cut

A four-level open stacked parking garage for 64 1:64 collectible cars, 16 per level. No columns at the front, so the cars are seen whole; a stop on every level so they do not fall off, one rounded window per level on the sides, and engraved numbered spaces. It is laser cut from one sheet of 3 mm MDF and goes together without glue: everything fits with tabs. The DXF layer names are in Spanish: CORTE means cut, GRABADO means engrave, and HOJA_NO_CORTAR is the sheet outline, not to be cut.

Cut sheets

The second sheet fits both dioramas together on a single 1220 × 1220 mm sheet. 3 mm spacing between parts and an 8 mm margin; no part sits inside another part's window. The DXF files already compensate for a 0.10 mm kerf: the machine must cut without compensation. CORTE (cut) layer in red and GRABADO (engrave) in blue.

Assembly

  1. Set the back wall on the base and insert the left wall, which fits into the base and the back wall. Fit the ground-floor stop.
  2. Fit beam 1 into the left wall and lower slab 1: it goes into the back wall, the left wall and the beam's tabs.
  3. Repeat beam and slab for levels 2 and 3, and fit the front stop on slabs 1 and 2.
  4. Fit the rooftop railing on slab 3.
  5. Close with the right wall, which takes the three slabs, the three beams, the railing, the base and the back wall all at once.

What changed in this version

  • No columns at the front: the view of the cars stays clear. An edge beam under each slab provides the stiffness.
  • Each level has an 8 mm front stop, higher than the wheel radius, so the cars do not fall off; the rooftop has a railing.
  • Side walls with one rounded window per level, as in commercial dioramas: the cars can also be seen from the side.
  • All the detail is engraved: spaces numbered A01 to D16, traffic arrows, doors and level number. No acrylic or paint.
  • Levels with 55 mm of clear height: more compact, 544 × 194 × 288 mm, with 16 cars per level.
